These free downloadable education kits accompany the Footsteps of Change experience. They present some ways to integrate teaching civics, history, and politics into the classroom.

The activities are suitable for a wide range of ages and can be adapted to suit the specific needs of your students.

Two kits are available:

The ‘Parliamentary Precinct’ kit teaches students about the history of Wellington and the significant locations within the Parliamentary Precinct.

The ‘Civic Events’ kit teaches students about some key events in New Zealand’s democratic history. The accompanying activities show some ways you can teach civic concepts like voting and being an active citizen.
